I did this super high donut top knot for a Missy (Doctor Who) cosplay back in 2017. I don't think I would do it again, tho, my scalp was so sore after wearing the style for the day, I only wear top knots sporadically and never so high or with such a large foam donut :S

This was probably 2015 so I'm not clear what I was doing differently to have so much more texture and volume. I think I was letting it air dry with no product. I notice it's not much longer than that now. I think tailbone really is my terminal length.

I have a similar problem with big top knot, it is just too heavy on my scalp and if not for photoshooting purposes, I won’t even consider putting it that tall on every day life.

That crazy volume looks like someone from a cartoon with big hair.

As I'm finding out these days, there's so many things that can affect the texture and volume... What are you doing now, are you experimenting with anything?

Haven't shown my hair really in a few years since my medical emergency cut and losing all of my calf length hair, but here we go.

Wavy from damp bun, but I wanted to see how it was looking on length.

Aspen it's grown SO MUCH! I seem to recall seeing a photo when it was chin length. It looks so luscious and healthy
