How long since you went to the salon/hairdresser?

So I am wondering, how long has it been since you got your hair cut at a salon or hairdresser's? Also, when do you plan on going again (that is if you go at all)?

I am not sure if I will ever go to one again so I was wondering what the stats on this would be. My mother went to cosmotology school and used to own a hair salon until her hands prevented her from cutting hair so frequently. She cuts my hair the one time a year I get up the nerve to trim. I never really enjoyed going to get my hair cut at a salon because I don't like to be touched and for some reason I never like the hair cut that I get.
Now that I am sulfate/silicone/heat free, I feel much more comfortable either asking my Mom to trim or I just do it myself.

So for me it will be two years in March since I was in a hair salon.

Gosh I haven't been to a salon/hairdresser since I was 17. I'm 21 now so 4 years. I don't plan on going back! I learned how to cut my own hair so I don't have to worry about going for a trim and missing 3 inches when I said half of an inch!!

I joined a No Haircuts thread in Nov. 2010 and haven't had a haircut since Oct. 2010. My hair has reached its terminal length and no longer needs salon services.

Let me see, I think it's just over 9 years when I've been to a salon for anything Don't have any plans of going in the foreseeable future, either. Not saying that I never will though.

Aug. 2011 was the last time I went to my hairdresser for myself. When I decided to henna I called her, just for her opinion, which she fully supported, and continues to support. I bring my son in for regular trims, so i get to SEE her, but no trimming for me. which is totally fine with her. I will likely continue to S&D for a while longer, then maybe try a tiny trim myself.

Well before I joined LHC in '04. I can't imagine going to a salon ever again, but who knows?

I went to a salon in Oct 2010 and then in Oct 2012. I do not plan to go again anytime soon.

I got my hair trimmed at a salon in Oct 2011. Then I went back last summer, but not for anything involving scissors (or razors, or anything sharp).

May return this summer if my mother pushes me for it... or I may not.
I've discovered I like self-trimming.

I think for me it's somewhere between 10-15 years, but it could be even a few years more. I'm not planing on going any time soon, but I would go if I ever decided to have short hair.

Last time I had a haircut in a salon was very early June 2010. So about two and a half years. I just let it go for a while and then learned self-trimming from LHC. I could see myself going back if I had the opportunity to visit a long hair salon, but that would have to be a special occasion thing since there aren't any near here.
