    Default Virgin Hair Thread

I want to start a thread for those who are growing out or already have virgin hair. By this, I mean hair that is not touched in anyway by dyes, heat tools etc... and this includes all hair types. I want a place where we can all come together and share our experiences and support one another. I used to get my hair relaxed and I used a flat iron. For twelve years I did this and wondered why I could not grow past APL-BSL. My hair was very damaged and I wanted to have nice healthy hair that would grow. That is when I decided to embrace my hair as it is and not try to make it what I wanted it to be. The more I gave up control, the more I started liking my hair and how soft and healthy it has become. I am very proud of my virgin hair. I am very excited to see what my hair does now that I have embraced it in all its natural glory. I use Pantene and Nexxus conditioners as well as Coconut oil.

I look for forward to reading about your experiences and what you do to keep your virgin hair happy and healthy.

Sorry if this is already a thread. I looked for one, but I could not find it anywhere. If there is one, then I hope the moderators merge the two

Hm, I didn't know virgin also meant never having used heat on your hair, but my color at least is virgin. I've used heat tools maybe a dozen times in the last 4/5 years.

I grew out my bleach highlights and I don't use heat on my hair except if I'm sick. That's very rarely an issue. I didn't blow dry last year so I've been almost a year on the virgin hair journey.

My hair is 100% virgin. It's easy to manage. I just co-wash every other day, use a tiny blob of leave-in and voila.
