Hip is in sight! I thought it would be a short journey given the very short distance on me between hip and waist.

Very excited, don't think my hair's been this long before!

I bought a shampoo brush and after using it I lost so much hair. I don't know if it's because of that or maybe the shampoo or something, or because I haven't brushed out sheds well enough or if I'm just having a summer shed. I hope this doesn't keep up, ugh.

I find more hair sheds with extra manipulation, even just massaging with fingertips. I don't know how it all balances out though; I've not noticed any thinning or smaller ponytail circumference, but I don't keep an obsessive eye on it either.

20+ years ago I bought an amazing brass fork at the Strawberry Festival in Ventura, California - it was expensive...about $85.00 if I remember right.
A year or so later...I managed to lose it.

DH brought it up yesterday so I got to Googling to see if there was anything similar.

I actually FOUND the company that makes them - they are still in business !
They didn't have the exact one I had but that's ok...and they of course have gone up a bit...but that's ok too and expected.

I ordered one !

The waiting has begun !

Hmm, yeah, I notice more sheds with extra manipulation too. I think I'll start measuring my ponytail every now and then just to make sure it isn't decreasing over time.

On a more positive note, my boyfriend actually urged me to get a new hairstick. I lost the one I prefer for daily use and my boyfriend pointed out that I'm not wearing buns as often anymore, and when I told him the reason he said to get a new one. I was going to look for it a bit more, but if he insists...

I wish I could pull off super short hair. It would be so liberating to chop off all of this damage and start over. But, I only have a year's worth of virgin hair, I have no idea what I'd do with it.

So instead, I see myself as taking my hair to the slaughter house, nourishing, conditioning and growing, when in a few years I'm gonna lop it off >:3

Ha ha, I can totally get this.

I actually think of you often. A route I take frequently has a tiny, cute animal....I don't know if it is a pony or a mini horse, but I always look to see if it is in sight.
