I’ve received two “Your hair is so long!” comments lately! It seems I’m finally moving past normal-long-hair-territory. Yay! Also I have no idea how to respond. Am I supposed to say thank you, or..?

I think I'd say, "Oh goody!" and if they question, say you're trying to grow it as long as it can, just to see. Then in a few years if they comment you can always say you really like it at whatever length it gets to.

I always seem to forget how well my hair does when I separate the strands and retwist every few days instead of every couple of weeks. Itchy scalp has had me rinsing my scalp (and by extension, my hair) every 3 days or so and my hair has been barely spiderwebby every time. So, of course, I have to try something else right away! I want to try some scritching and preening to move any sebum build up on my scalp down the strands, coupled with an herbal spritz with antibacterial properties.

I feel like my hair grows slower during the winter
Probably perfectly normal but gosh I'm so impatient to get to waist!

I find it always seems to grow faster when you don't pay too much attention to it. My suggestion, since you have winter coming now... knitting. Do some difficult projects to keep your mind occupied. I made two really long sweaters, almost like dresses, and an Aran sweater which isn't finished yet. That was the hardest knitting I ever did, but it gives you a real feeling of accomplishment to see the patterns develop. And the whole time I just braided my hair every day, put a (knitted) hat on top and in one winter the hair would have grown about 4cm.

What, are you reading my mind?
I just learned how to knit from top to bottom, seamless with raglan and I'm totally devoured by this passion nowadays

Excellent! It's a very good use of your time. My middle sister can knit from the top down for sweaters and for socks, I just stick with what I know... from the bottom up. But we do all have long hair. This proves knitting makes your hair grow!

It's video games for me, I don't knit. I occasionally sew my own Halloween costume, but I haven't done that in years (maybe next year, we'll see). I've been playing Chaos Theory in Jurassic World Evolution 2 where you get to open your own park and I finally got past the Jurassic Park section (two stars difficulty my foot! More like three or four). I'm now on The Lost World one where you try to open a park in San Diego (which was hinted at in the movie). These Chaos Theory modes are "what if" scenarios. Someone on Reddit (which I don't post on, I just like to browse through a few different sections, depending on what I'm in the mood for) said that if you think the Jurassic Park section is hard, wait until you get to the Jurassic World one! There will be a Jurassic World Evolution 3 that will release with the new movie due out in theaters next July and another one called Jurassic Park Survival about an InGen employee that gets left behind on Isla Nublar after the events of the first movie, so I can't wait for those to come out.

I'm more of a tomboy (which means a girl that enjoys things that are more associated with men, like sports or video games, for example), so I'm more into technology than doing girly things like my hair or journaling (which I despise, so never again). I live in graphic tees for my many different fandoms (Jurassic Park/World being my main one) and jeans and have my hair pulled back in a low ponytail secured with a covered elastic, scrunchie or big barrette. I also despise wearing make up or dresses (the only time you would see me in a dress is on Halloween, but I'm much more comfortable in T-shirts and shorts, so any Jurassic Park/World theme seems to be a better option, as would Star Wars, since I often choose more adventurous characters like Rey to dress up as).
