I hate the sound of Tangle Teezers. Hate them! They just sound like the hair is ripping!

I even own one but I only use it on my kid in the bath. I know they are gentle and safe for hair, and I know why they sound like that, I just cannot handle it. I’m watching a hair vid on YouTube right now and I had to stop watching and come make this post I hate the sound so much.



Okay I’m done now and I feel better.

I have to admit it took a long time to get used to the sound but now it doesn't bother me at all! I would not have persevered, however, if I didn't absolutely love how gentle and efficient it is in my hair.

So wild to me just how different my hair can look depending on minor changes after washing it. I'm so glad I learned healthy styling methods! Looks and feels much better.

After 500 something days heat free, I straightened my hair. It's not even BSL, but it has been fun and I feel pretty! But fighting humidity is barely worth it, so I'll see if I can break my record

I wonder if other people put their hair down at the first sign of a headache…?

Even if it's not because of my hair, I do. I think it's because I keep hearing/being told that long hair gives you a headache. Or maybe because some hairstyles do hurt after a while (seems like the ones that start in the middle of your head do the most?). I think most of my headaches are from hay fever, but I take down my hair anyway.

I do it the reverse way— I use a bowl for the first C, my non-silicone one. I work it through with water in the bowl, and then squish the top of my head down like I’m trying to wear the bowl haha. Then I kind-of wet plop into my shower cap and let it marinate while I wash my body. Once I rinse that one I slather up with my cone heavy C and rinse right away. Pretty sure I don’t rinse fully either, which also helps keep my strands coated.

Worth noting that my non-silicone C is my more expensive one so using the bowl helps it stretch longer. The second one is $3. at Trader Joe’s so I care not about the rate I use it up.

I guess the first piece of advice we should give newbies is "get yourself a bowl and experiment with it"
