Same here. Dried out my skin, made my hair crunchy ... I can tolerate it in conditioner but I try to avoid it in moisturisers for my skin.
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...
Picky scalp but easygoing hair, thank goodness

Glad it's not just me with coconut oil issues! I never realized how many products its in until I purposely avoided it. The Aussie brand has some good, cheap conditioners without coconut and I'll be trying the Garnier Honey conditioner today.

My hair is ok with coconut but it doesn't like anything too nutty, macadamia oil for example made it crunchy it doesn't like sweet almond oil either

My hair handles coconut oil just fine. Also I've never known what people mean with crunchy hair.

I'm waiting for the day when I can confortably wear sleeping styles.

I tried using coconut oil years ago and while I donít remember it doing much to my hair I remember it irritating my scalp really, really badly. Like, I would wake up in the night scratching my head like crazy. Not a good time. I try to avoid coconut based hair products now, which is a little bit of a bummer because I love that fake coconut smell, hah.

If you hold you hair and move it with you fingers, it feel crispy, dry, and crunchy. Some products, oil, and severe damage can cause hair to become brittle.

Can't say I ever had that experience and I didn't know hair could be like that. Mine always felt either soft, greasy or like velcro.

You're lucky! The velcro might be the closet you have to that feeling.

This is actually a very common problem for military women, so much so that a petition was recently signed and regulations were changed to allow female Airmen to wear their hair in braids, as long as the braids were not longer than APL while in uniform. Braided loops are also authorized for females with hair longer than that requirement. Its a big win and I am happy for my sisters in uniform or this win.
That must have been more than inconvenient if the only style you're allowed to wear is causing you headaches. Here, as far as I know, female soldiers must wear ponytails and braids when their hair is longer than shoulder. I think I read an article once about a male soldier going to curt in order to be allowed long hair as well. But they still need to keep their hair shorter than collar.
