I've been craving a chop recently too
Some girls in my class have chopped their hair to shoulder length during lockdown and are now coming to school with super cute short ponytails. They look gorgeous and now I'm so tempted aaaarghhh...

Don't do it! Try waiting two weeks before doing anything like cutting, don't follow other people, stick to what you originally wanted for your own hair

I understand that, when I see a girl with a cute short wavy bob it often gives me hair envy. I just remind myself that if I cut my hair that length i'm gonna regret it like crazy until it grows back, which would take years. Also just because that hairstyle looks cute on the models it doesn't mean my hair will co-operate in the same way.

Same here. But nowadays some really believe it so much that they attach you when pointing out that it might not be true.

I really hope hair salons open soon because I'm getting some major split ends. Also, it seems like I'm shedding way more as of late.

I had my first white-dot breakage event, which is split-end adjacent and was very alarming. Hopefully you can get a trim soon and the shedding calms down! Unfortunately I think chin-to-shoulder-length self-cuts are really challenging....
