That Tauriel statue is amazing!! I'm learning her hairstyle for The Desolation of Smaug opening I'm still planning my Tauriel cosplay (for the last movie's opening, I suppose), but I'll be going as an Elven ranger (and my mum got herself a lovely Bilbo cosplay, too ).

Most of the other tickets went to those who have been standing in line outside the movie theatre for the last week.

Do people do that in other countries as well? Lie in tents outside the theatre, to be first in line for the tickets? It's been a thing around here for movies like LOTR, and I think maybe Harry Potter as well.
We do that in America, too. You have nothing to worry about, so congratulations for getting tickets!

Also, THE TAURIEL STATUE. Combination lace braids that join into two normal braids? Sweet lord, I want to try that!

Yep, I think the reboot is part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations (well it was announced during them). So far there has been a new stage musical (doesn't quite have the cheesy magic of the originals but the costumes are loads better) and there is going to be a new series of the anime starting next year (it was meant to start this summer but got pushed back). Current release date is the nicely vague "January 2014"

I also plan to learn Tauriel's hairstyle for DoS and just because I like all of the elves' hairstyles, they're so simple and elegant Thought I'd post an image I found the other day that really gave me the inspiration to choose Tauriel's hair:

There's a LOTR marathon this weekend, so I finally got around to finishing my dwarf woman costume yesterday. It needs a little something something to look more dwarf like, I'm tempting to just toss on a fake beard to really show what it's supposed to be. :P Also, keep in mind, it's all made by a complete amateur, so nothing spectacular!

I need to say something smart here? O.o

I love your costume. I'm still planning mine, most likely a dwarf female or elven rannger. I may even go as a hobbit lass.
