I wear my hair in a high bun - so I can toss around and my hair never gets caught under me. It keps it a lot more protected than when I wore it in a braid.

I use a sleeping cap and I put my hair up as if I were going to do an updo but instead of putting in the pins I hold it in place with my hand and put on the cap. When my hair was your length I would roll the ends under so it didn't create a kink in the hair.

I wear mine in one English braid with or without a scrunchie on the ends. I then throw it up over my pillow (though it's not quite long enough to always stay there) so it doesn't try to strangle me while I sleep.

top bun for me! sometimes i braid it and bun it in different styles. i use spin pins to secure it and voila, ready for bed. and if its not too messy, i can wear it out the same way to school or to the store and it doesnt matter. honestly i dont exactly care anymore XD i just walk around with my hair still in a messy sleep bun all flat on the back and a messy all around. its all the new growth i swear.

If I have some extra time, I braid two braids along the sides of my head and then merge them at the nape, since I like that wave pattern. Otherwise a well oiled french braid is my go-to plan.

I just twist the hair at the back as if I'm going to use a claw clip, then slip the cap over it. It is loose but confined inside the cap. Sometimes the next morning the hair will have a slight kink in it around the nape of my neck, if I decide to wear my hair loose I just spritz it lightly with water and it comes right. If I am wearing my hair up, then the kink will still disappear.

I made the cap myself, it is actually a mob cap style in white satin, double thickness of satin with the elastic fully enclosed. I found an easy pattern online.

Usually braided, sometimes in a low loose pony, rarely open.

A high bun works the best for me - usually a lazy wrap with a short stick. I align the stick front to back so I can sleep on either side without it getting poked out. My hair is most protected this way. When it's braided (which I also do frequently, to make DBF happy), it rubs on the sheets, gets trapped under me, etc. and also gives me waves that I don't want.

I have found it useful to remove the scrunchie at the end of the braid just before I go to sleep. The braid loosens enough that the waves are minimal, and yet it keeps my hair in one place and aligned.

I plan to make a satin sleep snood or stocking pretty soon, which I think will be better than the braid and hopefully better than the bun - no sticks, and my scalp gets more of a rest.

Really depends on how lazy I'm being at the time. I usually try to braid my hair if I intend to wear it up the next day, or in a bun if I plan to wear it down or am too lazy to do a braid

Currently I sleep with my hair down, especially if I'm going to bed with slightly damp hair on a wash day. Plus my hair is at the length where it only lays over the top of my pillow and just stays there.
