Checking in to say I expected to see you two in here sooner or later.

I don't have any yet, but one of the LHCers has a highly accurate copy of Sting, Frodo/Bilbo's sword, and my hair and I both covet it enormously.

Awesome thread, which I will watch and enjoy!

However...

perhaps I'm being an over careful paranoid loon, but... I really don't know if I'd be confident to actually wear hair weaponry. I mean, my sticks and forks might make nicely effective self defence tools, but e chances are that my attacker wouldn't see their potential. On the other hand, hair swords on the back of my head seem to be the kind of thing that would put ideas in a potential attackers head, and I'd be scared they might be used against me!

And professionally I definitely couldn't wear them as I'm training to be a secondary school teacher so Im sure it would be a by bad idea to bring anything that looks like a weapon into school.

So unless you guys can reassure me about wearing these things out and about, I'll have to be a spectator here.
(am I the only person who inks like this?!)

Fantastic idea for a thread!

Here's an action pic of my first set of GTS hairtanas. This is spalted pecan wood with purpleheart accents. (I have a custom set in the works which will be rather dressier, but I'm really happy with this set.)
