    Default Getting my thyroid checked.

Well I went to the Dr over my bad sore throat. I got to see one of the other Dr's and he was so nice to me about my hair loss. He has odored me to get my thyroid checked to much sure nothing is going on there. I'm going to get that done next week I think. Hope maybe that will tell me what's going on. I'm also going to go to sally beauty supply and see what they have to say on what my hair needs.

Getting on thyroid meds was great. My hair loved it. As well as the rest of me.

Good Luck Kate! I agree with tetisheri - thyroid meds helped me so much. I have been on them since 1998 and now I can tell when my dosage needs to be adjusted (more hair shed / weight gain / sluggishness).

I totally agree with the other posts, thyroid meds are real hairsavers. The thyroid simply affects every single cell in your body. It your hair seems to be not growing, it could also be caused by the thyroid. It was the case when mine was not growing at all.

Started growing at 42. Always admired and wanted long hair. Thrilled to find waves!!!
