I love these ideas ladies! Keep them coming! This is my go to updo since I'm trying to grow out side bangs. This French braid to the side keeps them secure and then I wrap my hair in a bun.

Sparklylady82, your knotbraid has a lovely bohemian look to it, it is so pretty.

Nesoi, love the twist, they are my go to up-dos these days. I especially like the poppy pins!!

I have posted this photo in the Curly Buns Thread, but it will do very well here, also. It is a twist (of course) held with a small flexi 8. The small flexi holds nice and snug and I gently pulled the loose ends up and placed them in various directions.
Thankyou! I love the idea of a twist but I haven't tried that one yet. Very pretty! I don't have any hair accessories like the flexi yet so I need to get that one!

Here I present to you the only hairdo I feel I can trust without it falling out after a while--the pencil bun. <3 My hair is around an inch past APL.

I really like the way you used the french braid as an accent, it adds just the right touch to your up-do, Sparklylady82.

You are most welcome! Yes, do consider purchasing a flexi, they hold so well and are very hair friendly.

Oh, Wosie, this is very pretty! I need to give the pencil bun a try, it just might work at my length.

Your hair fork is very beautiful, I love the colour!

Here is an updo that I have been working on for a while now. Given my length, the nape hairs always manage to escape and it looks undone. But, yesterday I managed to get it a little tighter and therefore it held much better. Perhaps my hair has actually grown a bit.

Two photos were needed because I was taking them myself and it was difficult to get the updo to show nicely in one photo. I started twisting the hair (boho twist) from the right side of my head, keeping the twist low, and then ended on the left side of my head, securing the low side ponytail with a small claw clip.

I subscribe to many boho tutorials on youtube because with my 2b/3a hair, they look the best. Messy, unplanned updos are my favourite because they are intentionally that way...... and so is my hair!

Great idea for a thread...just because your hair is shorter doesn't mean that you can't have a fab updos!

luluj, Thank you so much! Your hairdos always look beautiful, your hair's waviness makes them all look very romantic and feminine. :')
Also, thanks for the compliment about my pink ivory hairfork. Do you use hairforks as well?

You are very welcome, Wosie, and thank-YOU, for the compliment!

Yes, I wear hair forks, I have four lovely 60th St. forks, they are my favourite fork by far!

Here is a photo of my Bolivian Rosewood Daisey in yet another shorty updo.
