Odd reasons you want longer hair!

Hi!

Yesterday I was taking a walk, it's crazy cold where I live right now so I wore a hat and double everything.
The hat is kind of a beanie and my hair was up so nothing showed, which made me think 'I really need longer hair so that it flows out from my hat and makes me not look like a boy'...

My hair i SL and I don't wear it down because it doesn't have the weight needed to look good down. It just floats around looking thin.

This made me think, what's YOUR weirdest reason for needing longer hair?

Maybe It's not really strange, but I want my hair to flow down my back, looking feminine en beautiful^^ When I had chin lenght hair I used to feel very naked, especially when not wearing clothes. I hope It's better when my hair is about waist

I think all my reasons are the usual ones: to look feminine and younger. I guess it's odd that I always want to be different than those around me. I surely will be.

When I Came Out I had a pixie cut, and my friends kept saying 'Oh don't turn into one of those butch lesbians!' and another person said they had guessed because of my hair

I guess I just became really self-conscious about whether I looked 'girly' enough or not, despite the fact even with short hair I always wore dresses, flowers in my hair etc.

So yes. To me, my odd reason is long hair=I am not a butch lesbian

To feel it on my back. To feel more feminine and confident. To have something extra to play with, style. It's feels natural to me to have long hair, I'm into natural earthy crunchy stuff. My hair is only apl but I'm growing to hip/bcl.

I just love hair in general. I love to play with it, brush it, comb it, feel it around my shoulders and down my back. In my next life, I want to be a hairdresser who specializes in long hair.
The odd thing is, I've been told I look better with short hair.
I don't care!

Here's a weird reason: Because noone has ever heard of a Tolkien elf with short hair! I fancy myself a Rivendell elf on the inside, so I try to mirror that on the outside. Short hair does not become a Rivendell elf maid.

I guess it's not really that odd, but you know how when someone has long hair, when they walk, the hair below bsl sort of floats backwards and forwards with their steps? I want that
