Trouble with staying logged in!!

I'm having trouble staying logged in it seems.

I click on my user name in the right hand corner of my screen to access my profile and it keeps saying *I* can't access it even though I (to my knowledge) am logged in.

Is this just a system thing? Something on my end? LHC just not liking me?

Help! Please and Thank you! ^_____^

What is the exact message you are getting? You only have 6 posts, so that might be why. I think you have to have at least 25 to do certain things.

Strange.

1) Do make sure "Remember me" is checked, or you'll get logged back out really fast.

2) Try going through "User CP". The link is toward the upper left of the page. It might be a way around the profile-access troubles you're having.

When I click on my username in the right hand corner it gives me the following message.

"You do not have access to this page it could be do to the following reasons..."

1. You do not have privileges to access this page
2. If you are trying to post an admin my have disabled your account

The UserCP seems to work though...would just like to know why I'm getting that message when I click on my name. I would think *that* would lead me to my homepage for this site.

You can't access profiles until you have 25 posts, and apparently that includes your own. You are still logged in - that is why you can still post :-)

LHC always logs me out really quickly, regardless of if i check the "remember me" or not. i always just assumed it was b/c i have my pc set up to not store cookies, for security reasons.

Go on a posting spree and you should be able to view profiles.

I'm set up to not collect cookies too, I stay logged in ..

That would probably be the reason. I'm pretty sure that "remember me" is code for "put a cookie on my computer."

Sometimes, with some browsers, I think you can whitelist cookies. So you don't collect them in general, but you can still get them from a specific site like LHC.
ETA: Yes, in Firefox, you can uncheck "accept cookies from sites", then click the "Exceptions" button and specify URLs that can give you cookies. Like forums.longhaircommunity.com and longhaircommunity.com. Assuming you want to do that, of course. I'm only reporting that it's an option, not a requirement.
