    Default Donated my locks!

I grew my hair for 3 years, from shoulder to waist. I don't know if it was because of my first real winter (I moved from sunny Florida to cold New Hampshire), but it got to a point where I could hardly untangle it and felt frustrated and weighed down. So, in February of this year, I went into the salon and asked for a cut. Like most hairdressers, she was so impressed with the length and condition of it. When I told her I wanted to donate it, she got SO nervous. She had never made such a huge chop before. She took my photos and put so much work into my cut. I was there over an hour. She said I deserved a cut I will absolutely love. And I did. Best cut I have ever had.

I haven't cut it yet. It is already past my shoulder. I moved back to Florida a week after my cut and I know my chances of having such an amazing experience like that again is probably not likely. So, I guess if you ever decide to cut and are in Manchester, NH, go see Darlene in the mall at Regis.

I donated 20 inches to Locks of Love. Here's to the next 20!

Nope. Did my research the best I could. It's done, so I'm not really interested in finding out I made a mistake.

Locks of Love charges their clients the full price of the wigs, Pantene donates the wigs to cancer patients. That's the main difference between the two groups. Neither choice is a "mistake".

You look absolutely beautiful in both photos.

Your new cut looks great, you have pretty hair at any length.
So happy to hear you had a good salon experience also!

Regardless of what the opinion of Locks of Love is here, donation was a beautiful, selfless gesture. Your long hair was lovely, but that cut is fantastic too. I bet your head feels a lot lighter! I'm glad you had such a fantastic hairdresser, such a bouncy, healthy, stylish look.
