Default Hair milestone / Elizabethan hair taping

Just after I made the decision to go super long again nearly three years ago I saw Torrin Paige's video for how to do Elizabethan hair taping and I remember feeling rather dejected and thinking "surely my hair will never be long enough to do that".

Well, fast forward to today and I suddenly thought "hang on a second, why don't I try that hair taping thing, I bet it's long enough now?" This is the result. I need a little more practice to get it looking neat, and there are a few tricks for hiding the hair tie at the bottom that I haven't tried yet (such as a flip-through before you do the two braids, starting it with two dutch braids instead etc.) but regardless I'm soooooo pleased that I'm finally able to do this style

And here's the original Torrin Paige video for those that may not have seen it before

    Regrowing naturally!

Gorgeous! Jealous that your hair is black and you can get away with using purple ribbon, it looks very cute!

It looks great! And the ribbon color really compliments your features.

Congrats! That is a milestone for sure. I've seen that video and thought to myself that style must be very comfortable to wear, it's pretty and if you use ribbon that matches your hair color it could look more modern too.
