Oh yes, it's possible. I had a cluster of them that were around 6 inches longer than my hair. I didn't notice until I had photos taken for my progress.
They annoyed me though, so I quickly snipped them off.
Ok, so I normally just put my hair up in a messy bun. Ie: I rarely have it dry and brush it out so all the tangles are out.
So last night, my hair was dry and seemed not too tangly so I decided to brush it all nice. And there was this one long hair. I just figured it was going to fall out, cause lots of hairs get stuck in the tangles and take a bit to fall out.
But then all day today it's still there. I just measured it and it's 7 inches longer than my longest hair. Is this even possible? Have any of you had something like this happen? How fast has a sprinter shown up for you?

Awesome.
I woke up this morning, and the sprinter is either in hiding in the hot mess that is my hair, or he fell out
