Photos resized too much after upload

Hi,

so I've noticed all my uploads are getting resized, bit too much. It's all consistently around 6-7 kB after upload, while the file I am uploading has over 1 MB. Is there anything I can do? Some of the photos end up too small. Thanks in advance.

You can always host your photos somewhere else, like imgur or flickr.

I know but those sites tend to take them down sometimes plus I liked having it all in the albums here at one place...

It was working just fine 2 months ago, has something changed?

Nothing changed that I'm aware of, but it is possible the site owner quietly made some changes to file size to reduce the load on the server.

well, if that is the case I don't quite see the point of the album then, it's all teeny tiny! ... thanks for your help though

Is there a photo program out there still saving to .jpeg? I think from the start everything automatically went to .jpg with my programs (Gimp and such).

The photos from my iPhone that were in the live format originally were saved as .jepg.
