I've seen it defined several ways. Sometimes it's said to be half your height, sometimes touching the top of your thighs, and sometimes long enough to sit on. On some people there's overlap between those. I think touching the chair you're sitting on would count, or be very close at least.

Thanks! I think your sig pic is lovely too. Such pretty waves, and it looks like you're getting close to APL!

As for pictures, I'm bad at it too.

That picture is all due to my boyfriend. I know lots of people on here seem to be able to take great length shots on their own, but I have yet to figure out a surface that's the right height, in good lighting, and how to balance my phone so everything's visible. I don't use my camera much, so no tripod to fall back on either.

aw, thank you. Yes, all that is hard for me and then there is the frustration of the shape shifting hair. Every picture shows my hair a different color, lol. They tell me the silver reflects light more and that is why that happens.

still at 20" ,,, is it possible to have a stall this short? Kidding. I did have a dusting a few weeks ago, and I'm not the most accurate measurer, so it's possible I'm at 20.5" and 22" is APL (by the eyeball method) so still possible by end of year!

Started at chin, grown to nearly collarbone length now yay

I count collarbone length as being at the bottom of collarbone not just touching them

I have a long torso and a big gap between chin and collarbone so it's taking longer to reach the milestones! But so happy I'm nearly below collarbone

stephy190 thank you! I was wondering when to call it collarbone. Seems like I have an inch left to collarbone and three till APL. So I'm going for collarbone at Christmas, that seems reachable.

Wow, I have about five inches between collarbone and APL. I am very tall. I have a friend at mid thigh. When my hair is the length hers is now I will only be at classic.
