It is about 22 1/4", and this is 2nd day hair that was bunned all day. Not much waviness lately because it is getting heavier, which I guess means I am APL sooner.
Congrats! I finally measured my hair and it is 20.5" and still at least three or four inches from APL. It looks like it has further to grow in the back than in the front. Does it have to be measured in the back? Lol

I know, why why why The Rachel. It's so hard to style, and I definitely, specifically said to her NO LAYERS. Thankfully I did a rough measurement yesterday and it looks as though I've grown about 2.5+ inches since February when said drastic haircut was done, which is pretty awesome seeing as my hair is slower than average growing. My hair is getting noticeably thicker as these layers grow out which is sooooo reassuring as I sway towards wanting to get bonded extensions a lot lately... Gotta stay strong though. Healthy hair takes patience

I too am concerned about visiting a hairdresser... After the last experience I had (and the one before that, 3 years earlier when I got given a chin length bob when asking for shoulder length *shudder*) I worry that I'll get more layers, a fringe I didn't ask for and whispy bits around the face. Losing the length will suck, but as my hair looks SO awful right now, I don't think I'll mind when my hair is healthy, thick and even enough to wear down. Even if it is a little shorter than I want right now.
I meant to say that your hair is very pretty!

Thanks! It doesn't look as good as that now haha, that picture was taken a few months ago. The ends have snapped off even more since and there's so many whispy layers

Yay you! Your hair looks great. My hair seems to be growing but looking shorter, lol. Something to do with the texture of it now....a little bit of wave that wasn't there before.. But it is beginning to feel more like long hair than it has in years.

It's been months since i posted but my hair is heading toward APL at a steady pace. I'm sure it will be there before I know it.

I'm about an inch from APL at the moment. Waiting for famous spring/summer growth spurt. If it wont happen I will be
APL by the end of summer anyway

I'm finally calling my graduation to this thread. Started from the shortest of pixies in December 2013, and now a year and a half later I'm at a solid shoulder with pretty much no layers. Part of me wishes I wouldn't have trimmed so much so I'd be here faster, but I am glad to have my layers gone. It's a trade off. Now my concern is putting my new length up. I can't do any buns yet; the best I can do is sort of put it in a claw clip. But it holds poorly and I'm having to constantly redo it every five minutes, so that kind of defeats the purpose of putting it up so it's out of the way and not getting any mechanical damage.

    Congrats to graduates!

I trimmed my hair a week or so ago, took probably about an inch. So I continue hovering around shoulder/collarbone length. I felt it was time for a bigger trim after ages of micro trimming, and also fixed a layer-problem I created during my second latest trim. Hair looks great!
