Camellia Oil! (See first post for sources)

I have just gotten the Oshima one, I'm trying out now for the first time. My hair seemed to like Avocado oil prior to this so we'll see.its currently still drying up.

I used to use camellia oil quite a bit when I was still living overseas. At the moment, I've been using plain coconut, but I remember really liking it -- I didn't use it in oil shampooing, but just as a normal treatment since I have thin hair and it gets to looking very greasy very fast.

Sorry to dredge this up, but my source (natural Japanese beauty) seems to no longer be running. Any tips on other sources that people love?

I use Mountain Rose herbs for some of my oils. Their quality is good.
Only thing is there shipping takes a while. But I'm also used to Amazon Prime so anything more than 2 days I consider long. They take a full week.

eta: Now I'm curious and want to try it

If you have an Asian market near you, you should be able to find it. I’ve seen it in both Japanese and Korean markets in the states. Amazon might have it too. Depends on which band/size you want, but the prices might be a bit high via the internet.

They're right over the river from me- but traffic is going to add an hour to a 30 minute commute.
There are a few Japanese grocers not far from me here though, may try them.

Reviving an old thread because I just heard about this oil. There seem to be a couple of different types on Amazon selling this oil but most of the links in this thread are no longer working for US sites

Is anyone in the US buying camellia oil online? I'd prefer to hear some LHC opinions!
