    Neneka: I've the same plan

I was so happy to have my hair reach shoulder, it felt really long. But somehow now the longer it gets, the shorter it feels... I guess I am getting greedy now

It's possible. I haven't trimmed since August 2011. Hair was cut mid jaw length. I don't have alot of splits.

Going for terminal, but also enjoying wearing my hair down and curly.

I'm finding the same problem! Even though I can do more styles every week it seems like, and yet I feel like it's still impossibly short, even though it's only been longer than this two or three times in my entire life! LHC is ruining me.

I feel the same way. I can't remember my hair ever being this long, but it seems too short to put up decently!

Good to hear that. Your hair looks great! Love the colour.

I haven't yet seen a single split in my hair after I cut it short. I am actually quite curious about when I will find the first one.

I've been doing a lot of experimenting with my hair care routine and you know, I am actually kinda grateful my hair isn't long yet. Some of my experiments have gone terribly awry and to have really long hair to try and nurse back to health would not only be difficult, but I think I would be far less likely to experiment at all for fear of ruining my hard earned length.

I feel much more adventurous because my hair is shorter and I hope that means that I will happen upon the right routine. Eventually.

Neecola, I am also grateful that hair grows slowly. It would be awful if it actually grew overnight... I have also been experimenting a lot and it's easier if hair is shorter but also long enough to put up. Now that I think about this I feel happier with the hair I have now.

I'm well on my way to APL!! I'd say I have about 1.5 inches to go (3 months)

I just returned from the hairdresser who gave me the first trim since my "tail-ectomy" last April. It looks okay. She evened up the layers and didn't take much off the overall length. Now, I have more layers, but they're evenly distributed. She cleaned up the grown-out pixie earholes and squirreliness around my face. We'll see how it behaves when I try to put it up for church tomorrow!
