In the front I still have over an inch to go to APL, but somehow that measurement feels more sincere since I only really ever see the front anyway. Am I just indulging in self-torture or does anybody else do this too?
I plan to call APL as soon as it hits in th back But then I don't have a big difference in length between front and back so I maybe have a slightly different perspective.

    Can't really say....
It depends on so much, even with supplements, how fast your hair grows, what the shape of your body is (to be able to CALL certain lengths), how wavy your hair is, your plans to trim or not, etc. Who knows if you will get splits and have to trim inches? Or you might figure out something that makes your hair grow faster, or you might have a stall where your hair doesn't seem to grow much at all.

I'm not quite at APL will be there maybe Halloween-Christmas, and with my current growth I'm guessing on being BSL about next summer. So that's about 16 months from shoulder to BSL for me. Then, I don't know, maybe 6 months to eight more for waist, accounting for a small trim at least. After that who really knows. There are just too many variables. I don't even know how my hair is going to look past waist anyways, as far as texture, health, and my ends. Maybe once I get past waist, I'll change from a blunt hemline to more of a U, and maybe I'll like fairytale ends, or maybe I won't... It's too hard to figure out for me past getting to waist.

I feel stupid. When I got all psyched about being APL, it was because I stretched out my hair and asked my mom how much longer I had to go. She said I was there. But today, I went to take a picture, I have a whole BIG HONKIN TWO INCHES! But I'm the gullible idiot. I should've known she would say that.

So I won't be there until christmastime, and there's no possible way I can be BSL by Halloween 2013!

I just noticed that my longest layers are an inch past APL. Yay! I don't know why I haven't noticed this earlier, haha.

Oh hey, a thread for me! XD

I'm at that pesky shoulder length where your hair starts to flip up at your shoulders, and am a longggg way off to APL. My hair grows super slowly, so it'll probably be a year before I really hit APL, although a girl can hope.

^ My hair grows slow too, I think it's about 1cm a month by the looks of things. Now I'm just past shoulder I can finally start heading towards APL! (Though it's going to take forever :P )

You guys will get there! I'm sneaking along closer, but I've got at least two or three months to go, maybe even longer. But I'm not waiting to try all these hair toys out, and have fun with my hair. I am glad that if I try, I find that I can wear the biggest of toys, somehow. I am stoked that I don't have to wait to wear this:

Congrats everyone on their latest feats. And to those inching along: it'll fly by. Try not to measure too much and just forget about it. One day you'll look and say "WHOA I'M THERE!"
I'm hoping to be there by Halloween, but it'll probably be closer to Christmas, especially since I'm having issues with breakage right now. My ends are in really bad shape, I'm not allowed to self trim or S&D, and my only other option is a family friend/stylist who completely abuses my hair no matter what instructions I give her.
But I'm wearing my hair up until January, and I'm not even going to measure. I'm trying to practice what I preach and stop obsessing so much.
