Here's my depressingly short, but freshly hennaed hair. Before and after pictures. The difference is subtle in the photos, but my hair has gone from ash brown to dark auburn. I never cared for the ashy tone of my hair.

I had hennaed my hair a while back over light blonde, and loved the intensity. I don't want fluorescent orange, so I have to find a way to get my virgin hair from dark blonde to light blonde... a less intense lightening process. Maybe a bleach cap? Not sure yet. Anyone have any ideas?

My starting color with this head of hair was a medium blonde.

I had the same issue, never quite solved it. I would always bleach the roots at my hairdresser, but it woludn't give me that hot orange I often see in women with grey hair. So what I did was every once in a while, I would bleach the entire hair, with the lightest peroxide mixture. And after apply manic panic. I think it was something with orange. It was the only thing that gave me the deisred orange color. Please share your progress, I am intrested. With me, bleaching the roots and henning after always gave me a "nice" shade of brown, which I didn't liked.
