I had a trim at the start of February, it was 67cm before the trim and 64 after. Measured my hair at the start of March and it is 65cm![]()
I've always been a trimmer and currently have a stylist who understands to just take take a tiny bit off. I didn't even look to see how much she trimmed. I only trim when the ends feel dry and tangle easily. I like the look of my hair with a nice edge.
I just had a trim last week and it was the first since last July. I measured for the first time on dry hair so I'm not absolutely certain of the accuracy, but today (3/6/16) I have 22"

Can trimming help my hair from making it more thick?

I tried doing a no trim challenge but I won't be doing that anymore. It ain't for everybody!
My hair is now only 15 inches long - that is just below shoulder on me. Recently had 3 inches cut off because of the state of the hair and especially the centre hair not growing much in comparison to the sides. I shall measure every month now to see how much I actually grow in a month. I think it is probably only 1/2 inch if that.
I haven't had an official trim since my last post, but I do trim off anything that feels dry. Today I measured 25" on dry hair. So, a 1/2 inch a month?
How often do all y'all trim? I'm trying to reach classic and currently trim every 6 months to a year, but I also like to S&D in between trims. I'm wondering if I should switch to more regular trimming.
