How Do You Wear Your Hair to Sleep?

I was wearing a bonnet to bed but have switched to braided. Sometimes loose, up and over my pillow.

I had the same issue and then started using a satin cap to go to bed. Never looked back. I also braid in 4-6 plaits or twists.

I know I'm replying back after 5 and a half years (just saw this - gosh, what it wrong with me lmao), but interesting! I might consider trying it out. I'm a very anxious person and would probably die inside if I felt I looked ridiculous in it in front of anyone! We shall see!

On a positive note, I definitely and thankfully don't have layers anymore and my hair is much longer, so I can try out plenty of sleep styles now for sure!

I let my hair dry about 50-75% after showering, then detangle it and put it in two braids with satin scrunchies. I use a wide tooth comb or a “wet” detangling brush. If it’s too dry, I add argan oil on the ends. I braid under the middle strand but I can’t remember what that braid is called.

I voted other because it depends. If I washed my hair that night, which is honestly more often than not, I'll leave it down because it won't dry if it's braided. When it's dry, though, I braid it.

I actually wear my hair either braided or in a bun on the top of my head and I use a silk cap and silk pillow case. I am trying to get my hair longer so protection is the name of the game!

I've been switching between a braid and loose draped above my pillow lately. I use a satin pillowcase now so generally my hair doesn't end up horribly snarly in the mornings now.

I usually sleep with my hair in 2 braids and use a silk pillowcase. I was skeptical that my hair wouldn't tangle if I slept with it look in a silk cap. I tried that last night, with a new silk cap and.... my hair wasn't a tangled mess in the morning.
