    Thank you!

My hair typing says I'm wavy, but in the past 6 months I've been struggling first with lack of protein/moisture overload, then with protein overload. At some point I'm hoping it will balance out and I'll see my waves again, but until then my hair looks fairly straight.

With this style, your hair to me looks very sleek. I agree with you, I sometimes over oil my hair. If I were you, I'd enjoy that straight look for now, and then maybe enjoying waves later on should you decide to find ways to enhance them.

Rowie, you have the most amazing hair here. It's not fair! I can't wait to see more of your pics!

For my Treatment Tuesday, I'm going to put on my comfy sweatpants and cuddle up studying calculus. Fuuuuunnnnn....
Thanks Bunnysaur! shhhhhhh I have a confession to make, three or four months ago I used Pantene's curls to straight shampoo/conditioner for three weeks straight. I wanted to have your hair so bad that I resorted to about three weeks of heavy cone usage because I didn't want to use a flat iron . I came very close (yes I documented it with pics), but I had massive build up by the end of it that I had to discard using it (it also made my hair feel crunchy)! But I was sooo happy that just on that last day, I got to be kinda like your hair twin in texture. For the first time I could see how styling your hair type is so easy compared to my natural poofy coarse hair.

How do you think you did on your Calculus final? I love calculus except those pesky word problems! ughhhh Although I love Calculus II better because you really get to play with Integrals a lot more! hahaha so much memories I had with the concept of dy/dx!

Oh my, this is becoming an extremely dangerous thread! I didn't realize just how many things are out there that I definitely NEEEED !!

Roscata, I totally love that comb! Is that a special brand? Your hair color is lovely, too. I'm always debating whether I should go darker with henna and end up deciding against it, now I'm debating again ...

ravenheather, I feel quite enabled by that artistree comb as well. I haven't really looked at combs that much so far. I own a few very simple, cheap plastic ones and was never very inspired by them...

Bunnysaur, I love your determination to get the sticks to work . Doesn't look bad at all

lunamummy, now I've been trying to figure out that style you got there. I agree with rowie it look quite elaborate. I can't get my hair to behave anyway like that (and it's pretty greasy today as well )

skraprchik, well, I've known for some time now that I definitely need a Ficcare. Just can't decide on which one (I kind of like that jeans blue best but that seems sold out any time I look)...

As for myself, I had DH (who still thinks I'm way crazy with the hair) take a photo of my brand new MairzyDozy fork. I don't know if my style has a name, as all I manage to do is twist a ponytail, tuck in the ends and secure...

Thank you Rowie and Piratejenny. I also have a tulipwood comb from artistree that is longer. I'm not sure if it would work in you hair though Rowie. That little comb has 5 teeth and my longer one has 7. I bought them from Pixna and she said they didn't work in her waist length thick hair. But maybe it would until your hair is longer. They are great for fine thinnies though.

I totally want a mairzy dozy fork by the way. I really want a moon/tree one. But I'm trying to wait until I have more hair. I don't want my teeny tiny bun to be completely overshadowed by the fork. It is on the list for the future though. How do you like the hold? Is your hair slippery at all?

Going for terminal, but also enjoying wearing my hair down and curly.

Hi everyone *waves* this is definitely the thread for me! I love how friendly it is, I hope I can join in with you guys

My hair is just at shoulder (see my avatar pic for my length shot on the 1st May) so I have a really long way to go to get to APL. I initially estimated APL to be at 22" but I think 23", or even more, is actually more likely as I'm tall with a long neck and back. At the beginning of this year I estimated that I would make shoulder length by my birthday (4th June), which I have done, and APL by the end of the year but unless I turn out to have an incredible growth rate this is not going to happen! So... I guess I'll make myself comfortable as I'll be here for a while!

Well it's nice to "meet" you all

Have you tried inserting the stick directly into the bun and then grabbing some scalp hairs, and then twisting the stick back down into the bun which will lock the bun into place? Think of it like sticking the stick in an opposite direction (the direction you normally wouldn't be inserting the stick) and then twisting the stick back into the bun and into the right direction. I know it's confusing for me to explain. Otherwise, keep practicing. I know I'm still having a hard time with stick! I find forks a lot easier so I can relate to you about loose buns with sticks. I absolutely love your sticks, I think i'll buy similar kinds.
That's what I already do I can't wait to get a fork, I hope it's as easy as you make it look!

Oh my. I'm flattered My hair can be a pain in the butt because it's so straight, I wish I was a wurly!
It was Calc II, I think I did alright. I know I'm at least still passing the class I have to take Calc III over the summer! And then I have 6 more higher math classes to go. The most frustrating thing is that even though I'm allllllll done for the semester, the only grades that are posted are the ones I knew for sure what my grade was anyway. Arrrgh I want to know what I got in physics!

Welcome paleoqueen to our group. Our group has 2 traditions and 1 recent addition.

    We have:
    1) Tuesday Treatment day (weekly). where you discuss your treatment regimen for the day or any new treatments you are trying.

    2) Towel Test Thursday (Once a month, first thursday of the month) grab a towel and wrap it around you, take a backside picture and we all look, talk about, and guess measurements as to how close each of us is to APL.

    3) Wednesday Way to go Hair toy action day (Once a month, the week after towel test thursday). The week after we all talked about each other's length shot, we then talk about toys we wear on our hair and take action shots.
    Again welcome to our group.

Piratejenny, I love your style! I'll definitely attempt it with my fork! Thanks for sharing this, as I'm always looking for ideas I can try!
