As good a reason as any, I suppose.

And I also won't mind being a grey haired witch

But since my hair seem to take after my mothers, it will be many more years before that happens. My father started going grey in his twenties and it took around 30 years until it was all grey. My mother has like three grey hair at sixty.

A good aspiration if you ask me.

Ah, I see. It's funny how genetics work, like that.

My father's started somewhere in his 40s, while my mother lasted for well into her 50s before she started going white (yeah, hers look more white than grey), so I do wonder how many years it will take before I see my first grey hair.

It turned out I have a lot less grey hair than I imagined, since this is the first time I've seen more of my natural regrowth since 2018. It's about 5% of greys, scattered around the top perimeter of my head. Still won't dye it, and it will make the transition to virgin hair more easy I guess cause I was expecting 20% greys at least. It's a shame though, my greys are a beautiful shiny silver white color. Wish I could go 100% grey overnight So I can yell Dracarys at random times lol

My husband started going grey in all the right places and he looks great with a bit of salt & pepper on his head. I, on the other hand... my silvers are gettting thicker on the crown and nowhere else. I definitely am coloring until I"m closer to retirement, then I'll take a critical look at what's happening at my roots to decide what's next. I would love to have a full head of long snow white hair someday!

Seeing my mum dye her hair my whole life, I don't think I will. It's too much of a commitment for me to dye it every month. Besides I've had my hair all sorts of colours as a teenager, so I haven't missed out on experimenting! I am actually looking forward to seeing myself with gray hair (my hair is dark) and given that it's virgin now, seeing it at every state of transition won't come as a shock. At age 29 I only have two white hairs on my head. Besides, I think there's been a shift in perception towards women letting their grey hair be - for many, it is no longer seen as letting yourself go, but rather a celebration/acceptance of the different stages of life, and the privilege of growing older.

I seriously doubt I ever would. I plan to embrace aging as it happens and I think I would find that hard to do if I was covering my grays. Besides, I think gray hair looks cool. Having long gray hair in braids down my back under a GIANT sun hat while I work in the garden is the dream.....
