Ugh, it drives me nuts when people do that. Like hey, don't they know that if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all? Or it's genuine concern but they say it in the most insulting way possible and you're like uhhhh how do I respond to this??

So I totally understand where you're coming from lol. It's awesome that you feel good about your hair because that's what matters most

I keep getting really excited about how much stuff I already have around the house that I could potentially use for my hair, instead of buying new stuff.

I had an old BBB that got super dirty and I didn't know how to clean it, but I read around and figured it out, so now it's really nice! I discovered that I can wrap my hair in the silk scarves that I have (or the other smooth ones) and now there's so many new possibilities! & there's apparently a bunch of cool different techniques to use the things I've *already* been using for my hair.

Super cool.

I've said this around already but it feels SO weird to not have any length goals left. And weird to even entertain the idea that I might slow down or stop acquiring new hair toys. I'm getting so Zen.

Thank you, it does! Even if it is super weird.

I'm kinda proud of myself for sticking with it consistently for five years and actually attaining my long term goal!

I think we could probably term you a 'long hair graduate'

My random thought was recently in the shower: some LHCers get grossed out by hair (attached and/or shed) going into one's, ahem, vertical smile, or even just thought of it - yet it doesn't bother me at all. It's the kind of thing that I would think would squick me out, so why not? Then I realised it's because I always, *always* wash 'underneath' before I take my hair down to wash, so it's just as clean an area at that point as anywhere else.
Of course if it happened outside of the shower, then yeah that would be A Problem

Ha! I almost want to make that my member title.

It doesn't really bother me either, I guess for the same reason, now that I think about it.
