It has a sort of herbal smell. Rather like Rosemary EO's cousin
But my nose is weird. It is not a bad smell.
I got mine and I have not used it yet but I am using it internally. Too soon to tell...

Bumping to see if any of those who used it continued to do so, and what their results have been.....particularly in terms of increased growth/thickness, and/or shedding reduction.
Hi Velouria,I purchased this oil about a week ago or so,and i really feel it decreased my shedding,i was having increased shedding 100+ for about the past 2 months,so i feel this is an improvement for me,i used it without dilution.I am not very consistent with it though.
I have a bottle of kalonji oil due to my Muslim origins and getting this given to me by people coming back from Mecca.
The smell is penetrating and pungent but not unpleasant. it is herbal but not flowery. I would describe it as a combination of black pepper and lavender.
I have not heard of kalonji oil being used on hair traditionally. You are supposed to ingest it. I don't drink the oil but I do eat the seeds that I collect from my own kalonji flowers which are called "Love-in-a-Mist" in England.
I'm bumping this up to see if anyone is still using it or has experiences to share. I never kept up with the kalonji oil but brought a new bottle recently so am looking to hear other peoples experiences and if it's worth working into my oiling routine.
The heart would have no rainbow, had the eyes no tears.
interested in trying this.. does anyone still on the forum use it?
