When I was 14, my until-then-trusted hair-dressed thought she'd give me layers. My hair was barely SL then, and it was (and still is) very curly, so the shortest layer, once my hair dried, ended up looking like a curly mullet!
I cried my eyes out as soon as I got home, and then ran to the corner hair-salon to get it all chopped off... I was then stuck with a huge, frizzy triangle-head for almost two years...
Oh, bad memories...

I picked perm AND cut.
When I was in 4th grade, my mom let me get a perm. I had about waist-length, thick, heavy hair at the time. Also think bangs. I got the bangs permed along with the length into tight spirals. Then I proceeded to brush it everyday. It was horrible and took three-four years and a shoulder-length cut to rid me of the damage.
Three years ago I cut my BSL hair into a chin-length bob. I'd never had short hair, so it was an experience. But I only liked it for a week. Definitely confirmed that I am NOT a short hair person.
January 2012
BLEACH.
I bleached my BSL length hair and then dyed it purple. I loved the colour, but after 6 months my hair was so damaged that I progressively cut it back to shoulder length, chin length, then finally pixie crop.
I was devastated and the damage still hasn't completely gone away 4 years later, if you can believe that! I think the bleach got into the roots somehow and my hair has never returned to the strength it had before. It breaks so much more easily and I am never free of frizzy bits like I used to be.
I voted other - yogurt treatment. Left my hair stringy, impossible to manage and smelling like babies spit up for a couple of days
Glad it was an error that was under control and gone within a week
Thanks for the BSL Santa! Now, Can I ask for waist on 2011? <--- This siggy is so old I don't even want to change it.

I voted cut because if I wouldn't have cut my hair into a pixie and then again into a inverted bob a year and a half later I would definitely be at mid back or longer by now.

I voted colour - although this was not terrible, and I did not trash my hair, I do wish that I'd learnt to love my natural colour rather than fiddle around.....

Letting the stylist cut my hyper curly hair from bsl dry to apl when wet. I was 12.
bright pink hair..
im ok with when i dyed it fire engine red.. but the pink was awful.. it was awful AND it damaged my hair badly.. it was pink for much of highschool
can i call this classic length
I've had a couple bad cuts. One wasn't really my fault, since I was six and as someone said earlier, my hair wasn't my own. My mother tried to give me bangs. Unfortunately, I have a huge cowlick in the front of my hair, so unless you do the bangs just right, it doesn't work. Getting fed up with it, she then took me to a hairdresser and had them cut all of my hair off to the length of the bangs--yes, a bowl cut. I had a bowl cut when I was 6.
Then, freshman year of college, flaunting my new-found freedom, I cut my previously BSL hair into a weird short-ish bob thing. I liked it at the time, but looking back now, it looked hideous. Glad that one grew out fairly quickly...
