Most of my slides are too small to cover an entire bun, but I've found they still work well if I only use them to catch the center of a center held bun such as a nautilus.
I found a slide at the thrift store today!
I'm guessing it is copper. Worn with a stick my mom made.

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*

Just when I thought I had explored most toys for crafting, you have set my juices flowing again. I want to try some in Polymer clay.
I saw a lady in the store the other day with a lovely slide which she said she bought at a native American Festival which our town has every year.

Cross-posting from WEO one of my favorite slides. I only have less than a handful because they generally don't work for me. I am now regretting another one I sold previously by the same maker

I currently have my one and only slide up for offer on the RAOK thread because it wasn't getting enough use from me, but I still think it's really pretty:

I actually love that slide, samanthaa. Such a kind offer, thank you!!!

Etsy has some beautiful Native American beaded slides. I think I will cave as soon as I make up my mind between 3. I have been wanting one for so long. My sister in law had one that I still drool over when I think about it.

I caved and bought this. Now I just have to wait for it to get here. https://www.etsy.com/transaction/1299163423 I use to do bead work with tiny cut glass beads but my eyes haven't been good enough to do that for a long time now.
