Depends on the distance between your shoulders and armpits, that varies alot. Still, I think a year is about right for alot of people.

I've been meaning to post that my longest little mullet layer is just about APL but that I won't call it until my whole hair is fully APL.

But I just did the towel test and HA! my longest tiny layer isn't even CLOSE to APL. What was I thinking? Though I did learn that the towel test is pretty wishy-washy, as I was able to reposition the towel so that I was close. But either way, shoulder to APL can be really far, huh? I see why it's more than a year for some.

Looks like I'm here awhile...
