It's soaking up coconut oil right now. I'm a little leery of using the shampoo again but I might well try diluting it once my hair is well hydrated. Thanks for responding!
Growing Glory - if your scalp likes the shampoo but your ends don't, you could try coating the length in a cheapie conditioner before shampooing. Look up C-W-C, and you'll find a lot of people do that.
Thanks, everyone. I tried allowing my hair to drink its fill of extra virgin organic coconut oil (I oiled it last evening), then using the shampoo and conditioner according to their directions. It seems much better now: smooth and silky soft. When it is completely dry I'll brush it well with a BBB and it will be like buttah.
I used the red grape shampoo occasionally. I think it's on the more cleansing side for a natural shampoo. For me it's great as I have oily hair and it's slippery, so tangles doesn't matter. For someone with normal to dry hair it's better to use it sparingly.
I used the green apple shampoo and loved it!
I think that my hair is normal to dry now that Fall is here and I've Paused.
This is an old thread, but does anyone else use Desert Essence these days? I CWC and I really like their coconut conditioner. I alternate between that and Nature's Gate Herbal Conditioner. (I have to use t-gel as my scalp shampoo.)

Resurrecting an old thread, I'm wondering if anyone has tried the Italian Lemon conditioner? It is advertised as being light weight, but I noticed it has Shea butter in it, which I'm iffy about. Can anyone tell me what the texture of this one is like compared to the other ones, and how it works on your hair? Is it very lemon-y? For reference I do think the green apple one is okay, but have found the other ones to be too heavy, thick & waxy on my fine hair.
