It is a permissions issue. You will be able to access your profile (and from there edit things like your avatar) when you have 25 quality posts.

The photo uploader might be down. I can't upload to photos to LHC right now.

I haven't been able to put a picture on my Profile page, where there is a drawing of a portrait, I used the Settings to upload from my computer and the message always says the upload failed.Originally Posted by floridaorchid

Same for me. Wanted to change my profile picture, but no, doesn't work.
Only good thing is that I had the foresight not to delete the old picture just in case this would happen.
