I'm out for a little bit. Just trimmed maybe a 1/4 inch off my ponytail, and then did some S&D as I'm not ready to let anymore length go, but after that tiny little snip, it would appear that most of the knots and most egregious splits are gone. My ends feel quite smooth. I might trim more though before the end of the year. I'll be back probably in Jan as I think I'm joining the 6 month no-trim challenge!

I'm just checking in! I haven't had a trim or a dusting since 2021! And, my ends are holding up just fine! And, my hair overall is growing perfectly!

I just did a big cut yesterday, from WL to APL in order to get rid of my layers and those god-awful ends that were constantly snagging together.

I’m not going anywhere near a pair of scissors until January 2025; from now on I’m doing one trim per year.

I'm in the 6 month boat. My last trim was January 3, 2024 and going to try holding out until July. I have blunt ends and I don't want to lose them until my bangs catch up to the full length. At the rate of trimming every 6 months, catching them up 9 1/2 inches to the ends of my hair could take years...

I've gone 2 years without a single trim or S&D. That was July 2018 to June 2021. I grew out shaggy bangs and layers. My plan was to just go 6 months without a hair trim. I decided I was over the crazy layers and my stylist took more inches off than I wanted.But then Covid happened and I moved. I really don't remember what length I started at. I think I was between BSL and MBL. I ended up passed TBL with scraggly ends. Then I got a yearly trim in 2022 and 2023 and always got a few inches off. Made it to classic length before I donated 16 inches in July 2023. I have not needed to trim yet. My goal is to grow to terminal length and S&D as needed.
