I just bought the Nora, the North Star and Winter Wonder flexi's in XL, yay! They'll have to ship to the Netherlands so that might take a while (in this economy, sigh), but at least I got my winter flexi in time for the snow of winter 2020 xD I hope they're not too big though.

Hey all. So I recently read a couple articles that cited Lila Rose as an example of MLM. I'm not a big fan of MLMs, but I love my flexis. I thought Lila Rose was mainly a website based company with some direct sales consultants and none of the recruiting or making money off your downline stuff. Can anyone confirm or refute this? I'd be very sad if Lila Rose operated like an MLM now.

Multi-level Marketing. "A business structure or practice in which an individual seller earns commissions both from direct sales and from the sales of the seller's recruits, of those recruited by the seller's recruits, and so on " (Merriam-Websters). My problem with them is that usually 90% of consultants/workers lose money because they need to by stock that they can't sell or pay fees to remain a consultant.

    Thanks for explaning!

I only know consultants buy stock for a lower price, then they can sell them at the regular price.
I don't really know the ins and outs of how the system works at LillaRose.
Maybe you can ask a consultant?

I think you're right. I think it's just lots of independent stylists (who are mostly losing money), not multi-level with recruiting and downlines and all that. I've never heard of a stylist trying to recruit people to be stylists. But that's just my opinion; I have no facts.

Yeah. The problem I've found is that any people saying it's a MLM are anecdotal and it's pretty rare. I don't personally know any consultants, but maybe I'll try to look into it further.

It does seem similar on a surface level. I thought about it too. But i don't really think so. I think people who become stylists don't have to recruit others to become one as well. They just need to make their sales. That's the main difference.

Why is it in Jamaica? That seems like an odd pathway. So, it looks like it is an MLM, but it's not as prominent and doesn't have as many consultants nor does it psuh recruiting as hard as other companies. Not sure how I feel about Flexis now.

Eh. I have bought a few things from other MLM's like Avon and such. I don't really think much about them. I think it's just an extra source of income for some people.

I have no idea why. Maybe they needed to change it due to corona... I have never not received a purchase from them so i am sure it will arrive eventually...
