Hello to all the new joiners
MissMuse I’m sorry that the haircut didn’t turn out well. I hope the cut evens itself out over the next few weeks, sometimes a cut you’re not happy with can soften a bit. The loss of length is frustrating too, fingers crossed for a summer growth spurt! I’ll be here to keep you company...I think I’ll be in this thread for the rest of the year at least.
Knittink I think a lot of us have that problem...blunt ends are harder to tuck away. Have you tried doing a sectioned bun? You can do a half up, and then wrap the rest of the hair around the base. Or, do two buns. Also, plaits look good with blunt ends.
I’ve been really frustrated with my hair. It’s growing really slowly, I’m not getting the “average” half an inch per month. I’m growing out henna so I know that’s been the case for a long time, it’s not just that it will catch up later. There’s no point fretting about it because I can’t change it, and I really do believe in enjoying the journey. However that means that length specific threads can be frustrating, because I’m focusing on how long it’s taking to get to the next body marker. I really like these threads though, it’s a good way to get to know people on the forum and to share advice specific to our length.
It’s great to see everyone’s photos on here - Waveurly, EssleyBlue, duchesswannabe - all looking really lovely. It’s inspiring to see how beautiful hair is at this length.

when my hair is wet it's laying almost on the neckline of this pink t-shirt.... and when it dries- whoop!
