Hurray for trimming! I had about three inches cut off (I big trim I know) but now all the damage from my perming days is gone. I'm so happy not to have to fight with those last few damaged inches and I am still at waist lenght. Finally.

Join date measurement, May 4th: 39.5 inches
Today's measurement, July 26th: 40.5
GRRR, only one inch grow in over two months!
I measured last night, and I'm at 43" solid. And what makes me happy is that isn't one or two hairs, it's most of my hemline, which is what I've been aiming for.

Jamieleigh did you trim regularly throughout the growth of your hair?
Hadn't measured in a while so I found my tape and peeked at it. 49 inches give or take a bit for stragglers. I am about mid thigh.
I trim about every 3 months or so.

I straighten my hair every other month to do my measurements, it's naturally very kinky/curly.
Good thing I came back through this thread! I'm sorry I didn't answer right away. Yes, I've trimmed regularly to keep my hemline thick. It's taken me longer to hit milestones, I think, but in my opinion it looks much better on me. But mostly little microtrims, as in this much. ----> _ And maybe every 3 weeks or so I've done that. But I did a good 2" trim back in May.

I'v been trimming an inch every 2 months for a year now so my length hasn't gotten any longer. At the rate I'm going, its going to take me 3 years to get rid of all the damage
do you trim your hair every 2 months?
