Hey I was wondering, what are people prioritising in their hair care at this length?
I just try to make sure my hair is moisturized enough. I CO twice a week, and wash with a non sulphate shampoo once a week. I try to use leave in conditioner, and I don't brush. I am not wearing my hair up all the time because it's really just too short, but when I do put it up, its usually a peacock twist.

    How about everyone else?

Your ends don't look terrible at all, stray! It might feel refreshing to trim off the bleach damage, though. Seems like you couldn't go wrong, either way.

I finally got a length picture, but it isn't really the best lighting. This cold and dry weather is really straightening my hair. I don't mind though because it's fun to have a different looking texture. I am definitely absolutely at shoulder length now, so that is awesome.

It looks so much longer, Reading Renee! Beautiful wurls, too.

Keeping my hair up most of the time, washing as little as possible, finger combing instead of brushing.

Thank you. I think i got a tad overdramatic that time and i am reevaluating my decision. I will still get a trim, but only up to an inch or so.

I'm prioritizing scalp health and diet at the moment. I don't think I'm doing anything different to my hair compared to when my hair is shorter/longer. Keeping it moisturized and tangle free and avoiding heat styling as much as I can. That's about it

    Looks beautiful ReadingRenee!

Congratulations kph12, I know this hasn’t been your favourite length and you must be glad to be moving onwards and downwards

My routine is quite simple, I need to wash fairly frequently so I use a sulphate free shampoo (but only really because I don’t get on with silicones and the two go hand in hand). I deep condition weekly and I’m making a huge effort to wear my hair up to protect the ends. I mainly do a peacock twist because that’s the most likely to stay put without pulling. Sometimes a disc bun if it doesn’t slip out. I’m finding that blunt ends are not helpful with buns, but my hair isn’t very thick so blunt is better for me. I fingercomb and only brush for special occasions when I want to wear my hair down.

Sometimes I think that I should wear my hair down now while it’s shorter, but I think I would regret that in a short while. My hair is pretty fragile so I hope that being extra cautious will pay dividends in the future. Also, my toddler likes to throw her arms around my neck for a cuddle, so it’s best out of the way

    Thanks Lady Stardust!
I should probably wear my hair up more but I haven't been doing that because I know when its longer I will have to wear it up a lot. I have my hair blunt cut as well because my hair is so fine. I have to remember not to give in and get layers this time because I can't stand my hemline as it grows when I have layers. It looks very thin and scraggly.

Congrats kph12 it looks so long (compared to mine!!)

I don't do anything special with my hair apart from a leave in hair oil concoction I bought. I use olaplex once in a blue moon. I try to only straighten about once a month if I have a special event. I wear it in a bun 99% of the time though. I'm very low maintenance.
