I voted: rarely. Mostly in the past. I used to not exactly envy (as in feeling bad about someone having better), but to wish I had thicker or longer hair. I met a lot of people who had nicer hair than me, but now I am just grateful for what I have, I am happy with it and wish other people great hair too I had to sort of grow into this mindset - my hair is rather thin (barely ii), but that´s good, because if it was thicker, it would be heavier and I probably would not want it extra long because of possible headaches (my neck can also hurt if I choose an uncomfortable hairstyle, so I´m sensitive to that aspect). As for length, thanks to LHC I now know there is such a thing as terminal, and I am content to get there at my own pace. And as for color - I used to envy (?) or simply wanted to be blonde, but the few times I tried, it never suited me. My hair color, even if mousy brown, is nice in the sun, and soon I´ll be graying anyway and I love grays.
Tuanyiji, your hair looks perfect to me, so you do not need to envy instagram models, it works both ways - someone admires your hair too

Saaaaaame. Length is something I know I can achieve, but pictures of long, thick, healthy looking hair make me wistful.
Part of it is just envying my past self when my hair was thicker, haha.

I voted rarely because when I see long hair I don't feel jealous. I feel inspired, and perhaps a tad regret that I didn't start growing my hair longer sooner because I didn't believe I could. But now I believe I can.

When I was younger I really envied all the wavy/curly girls. My hair is pretty dang straight, and won’t hold a curl to save my life. I appreciate it a lot more now when I see all the effort needed to love your curls, and just leaning into being my own self.

I also envy people with thick hair from time to time. My hair used to be super thick when I was younger, maybe twice as thick when I was younger, so I remember how much I loved it. I’m hoping a little TLC will get me back a little thicker, because I have so many frizzy broken ends, but only time will tell.

Yes. However, when I have long hair, I admire people with short and medium hair. However, with short hair, I admire long hair. I just can't understand it!

Yes, especially those with thick ends/hemline at HL+ irl, because it reminds me of the years when I used to have HL-BCL hair before it broke off. I have to prove myself that I can grow it back to that length now I pay better attention to my nutrition.
