No trimming club!

Count me in!

Usually after my seasonal measure I'd get hubby to snip a bit off to even it out and get rid of any bad ends.

My growth seems to have slowed alot (or I measured wrong the very first time). I only get an inch a season. Since I'm discouraged with getting to my goal and this Spring the ends looked and felt alright, I decided to forego it.

I don't expect to trim again until I reach goal length (waist...3" to go!)

I'm officially a drop out now. I just did a small trim. I figured after 3 years and 8 months that's not so bad. I took off 2 inches, which is like a couple dozens hairs pinched between two fingers, not much at all. I'm still at tailbone length and have a fairytail end. It's just I can see where the ends are now.

There's no reason you can't rejoin the club... Unless, of course, you wish to continue trimming on a regular basis.

I have been tempted recently to do just that - drop out of the club, even out my see-through ends, then rejoin... But I'm not sure yet. You're braver than I am, Sapphire-o!

I haven't trimmed in almost 13 months now. I've gained great length, but my ends are choppy layers. I've been debating doing a microtrim monthly, but my hairs are so uneven that I would catch maybe 10-20 hairs with a microtrim. So that doesn't seem worth it to me. I think I'll just be an uneven-ended person for the time being. I am going to reassess the situation next month, probably. I am getting very near to my second goal of 24" but ideally I would get to waist-length and then consider maintaining and getting an even hemline. The thing is, I think scraggly ends can be rather cute. They are just at an awkward phase for me right now.

Just checking in with everyone with a progress update.

It's now been 9+ months since my last trim... and I'm happy with my hair overall. My only gripe with going so long inbetween trims is my hair really does grow slower. I know it's not whats 'supposed' to happen, but it just does. This is my second year of waiting 12 months between trims, and I"m just not happy with it. So in June I'm going to get an inch off... and I'll probably trim on an 'as needed' basis from that point on out.

I spent every free minute of last week S&Ding. Uggg. I have sooo many splits. But I realized that the last couple of "trims" ia had ended up not getting most of my splits since my hair is so layered and I just got the ends "trimmed" to even them out.

So glad I have my membership in this club to keep me from losing any more length ever again!!! Kudos to all us.
