Woohoo! So you've got APL with stretched, and wet now! Next thing you know it'll be dry and curly and APL!

I feel like I need a checklist for each milestone

    Stretched: check
    Wet and curly: check
    Dry and curly: almost

    On my way to BSL...

Hey it may help! I've always found that when I've got a task or something, breaking it down into smaller bits helps me keep going! Then I get semi-regular accomplishments that help me push forward to the complete goal.

But most of that has to do with my ADHD and the fact that that causes even small tasks to seem huge due to executive dysfunction. I really see the tiny steps that happen during a task, so something like "getting a cup of water" looks to me like "get up, pick up cup, go to kitchen, open cup (cats mean that the best cups have lids, and forgetfulness means that insulated is best), unlock fridge thingy, get ice, get water, put lid on, lock fridge thingy, leave kitchen, sit back down." I often forget several steps, like getting my cup or even just getting up (and then I'm like "oh yeah I wanted to get water crap"). The fridge beeps if it's locked and I try to get ice or water, so that's a quick reminder, and when I make stuff I leave the fridge open so I don't forget to put the milk/butter/whatever away. Not a "good" habit, but it's better than having a gallon of milk go bad on the counter because I just don't remember it's there.

ANYWAY: most brains really like the reward hormones that they make, and of course when you feel good about a thing you're less likely to give it up. And in cases like this where the main goal is a bit slow, having some stuff in the middle to look forward to would help with less feelings of helplessness/hopelessness!

I agree Corvana. Rather than dying of boredom and depression in between milestones, I'll be happy each time I reach it

Felt more hair down my back (well, further down from my shoulders) and did a quick measure to check. Sure enough, there is measurable growth. Of course, it's all relative since I've got layers. But it's a good feeling to know that my hair is getting longer!

*knock knock* May I join you all? I thought I belonged in the chin-to-shoulder group, but after a couple of photos, I think I may be more suited to this group (again, was here last fall -- haha).
