I second this. He seems to have a creative purge (last spring it was the paua behind the inlay) and moves onto his next muse. This is one of the reasons I've learned not to hesitate when something I really like shows up in the shop. Good thing is, he does get inspiration from this thread so it's possible that the stick you're looking for will pop up.

From swap with lunasea ! I am quite pleased with this stick. I quite like the color and the leafy design suits my personality much better than the TT I sent to her. I wanted to try it out immediately as it was waiting outside when I came home from school, so I grabbed a pin and tried to fold my braid up( massive fail) my hair is too thick/stiff/coarse/ short. It just doesn't want to bend! I'm hoping when my layers catch up and I get more length I can make it work

So happy you like your new stick! Can't see the pic real well but from your beautiful hair color I know it is perfect for you! BTW, I'll bet you can do a french tuck with that stick right now. Just tuck the end of the braid up and under the french braid (between your scalp and you hair). Then use the stick to catch the end of the braid and hold it in place. Kind of like this...

Maybe not though. I've never had really thick hair to work with so I sometimes can't even grasp concepts like it's too thick to bend.

Good video thanks! I'll give it a try sometime. Unfortunately she has 1/3 of my hair or less, so I am not sure I'll be able to fold my hair enough to get it to stay tucked. I'll have to get smaller elastics as well, no way that bulky hair tie will fit underneath a braid!

When I did this style with shorter hair I used the braid and band to keep everything in place. I'd catch the stick right before the band at the end of the braid and that usually held it. Good luck!! Pics of my end of this FABULOUS swap soon to follow (after my hair dries).

Blue Mermaid that stick looks like it's found the perfect home in your hair I wish I could offer you advice on how to use it with your thickness and length.
