Those of you that have tried the Tangle Teezer...

I have thick hair and the TT didn't reach my scalp. It only brushed the top layer of hair. I use it sometimes. It does reduce the number of hairs that I usually loose while brushing, so that was a plus.

I thought it would be the same for me that is why I never bought one. I have the same problem with boar brushes.

I initially liked it because it seemed to detangle without pulling much hair. I stopped using mine because of a couple of reasons:
-The bristles were too shirt for my liking. Did not like the fact that they didn't reach my scalp.
-It seemed to break my curl pattern. At times I don't really care but when I'm wearing my hair curly I tend not to use it.
