Emichiee i believe turned the henna+indigo length into henna only (though growth) successfully but she does have dark hair to start with.

I put henna into my sister's crazy curly hair - and her hair went from being wildly curly to just loosely curly. Crazy?

    Before:

    After Henna:

She lost her ringlets, she's happy for the change, it's something new and fun... We were just both surprised.

Oh absolutely! With henna it will loosen the curl. If she likes that she can maintain that, and if not and wants some curl back, she can add some amla powder to her recipe. Keep in mind though, that amla also tones down some of the red of the henna.

    Nice pics!!

Henna didn't do anything to my curls, and trust me I was ready to henna it to the eggplant-est color to get curl relaxing

Soft hair that is nice to sit on - now I'm bragging!

    Heidi, lol!!

I wonder if it varies depending on curl type, as some things vary from hair type right? Mayeb you got "good" curls. lol!

I've got very stubborn curls hehe

As far as I'm aware - wavies tend to feel the relaxing effect of the henna way more than curlies - they can go from 2something to 1 something with henna much more easily (and they are usually the ones who hate it more ).

Despite that, so super curly 4's do report curl relaxing, not that I can make out the difference, but I believe them.

It might be though a perception thing - if I want my hair to be as curly as possible I might have noticed something, but since it's never too straight for me (shoot me, but as much as I learn to accept and work with my curls I still want to wake up tommorow and discover I'm 1a), even if there was relaxing from the henna, it wasn't nearly enough and it wasn't noted.

That said, I'm still deep in the realm of 2c/3a, just as I was 11-10 hennas ago (that is, a year ago) when I just joined.

aaaahh I see. Well I love curly hair. Love it!! Natural Hair is the way to go to me. I'd just love it one day to open up a natural hair studio "officially" one day. How fun would that be?!

Hehe, well I don't love it or hate it honestly, I just feel straight hair is much easier to maintain, something that I would much appreciate lol

For sure, I understand. I comb out my daughter's hair every day and know it isn't always easy. I use a lot of argan oil though now, and it's made a huge difference. Like I barely believed it myself. It really helps make it softer so that it untangles better.

She's curly? Maybe it's not such a good idea to comb her hair out?
Oiling saved my life (well, okay, my hair ). I can't go a day without some wild amount of coconut oil. I have argan oil too, but it's not pure and I feel like it sticks to my hands, while my hair is indifferent. Maybe I'll use it tomorrow though
