Me to about the drying but I put that down to my hair having more moisture. I am glad of it.

Exactly. Where do you order your catnip from?

I do not think it seals it in in that sense. My hair still reacts to humidity but does not go fiizzy like it used to and does not get dry or brittle or need clarifying ever. That is what pleases me most. I get to be split end free and have limited breakage without having to go into a cycle of harsh removal of catnip and making up for that.

i tend to keep it up most of the time so i couldn't really comment on that.
i have wondered if when i henna my hair whether it's removing it and that i'm adding after again? (re-build it)
i do seem to have a clarifying feel after i've hennaed and i deliberately let my hair soak longer in the catnip to get that feel again.

I've ordered some catnip from my local healthfood store, the owner claims that it was very difficult to find a supplier......are all the UKers buying the stuff up???? I did stress that I wanted a high quality herb, I've found out the hard way that a herbs potency and effectiveness are marred by many factors. It'll be a fortnight or so before it arrives - can't wait!!!!
I'm going to buy a few plants of it for my herb garden with the hope of harvesting it for use next year, if it works as well as everyone claims I might as well be self-sufficient!

Ebay for me as well, Hagen brand from SmyleePets.

I did have some growing in the garden for years but the local cats, including my own, have totally destroyed it.

Henna contains resin that coats the hair but washes out between uses. Catnip will not be as effective right after you henna but it will get better as the resin washes out.
