I was going through pages of the Mane Forum trying to find a certain thread and stumbled across your anniversary post from last year.

One thing that hasn't changed is we all love you and are rooting for your progress!

I know you don't like your natural texture, but, Bat, from what I can see of the 2021 pic, your hair was partly flipping up just due to the length. I know a few people with stick-straight hair who hair flips out like that when it's above shoulder and calms down as it grows. Additionally, it's such a gentle wave that weight would probably pull it quite straight, no chemicals needed! So have hope that once you get through the awkward phase your hair will be the way you want it to be.
