Considering just starting microtrimming now rather than waiting until summer. My ends are starting to bug me and I want to get rid of them sooner rather than later.

Edgy styles first since terminal can take 10 to 20 years as an estimate

I have plans like that too ( never trimming again ) but while I'm in pixie stage maintaining until it's a bob will be my best choice, it'd what worked for me in 2020 I managed to get it to cbl after I got out of Pixie

Oooh ignore my post then xD

Sometimes, I think about coloring my hair dark again. I used to use 2-step henna + indigo way back in like 2011/2012. I haven't gotten the OK to color my hair again yet but once I do, it's something I've considered.
Maybe I could do some deposit only dye just for fun. :P

3 months of growing grey is a tough time...
I'm starting to have doubts. The colour seems so lifeless. I have dreams of doing henna. Suddenly all the downsides of grey come to my mind - thiner, finer hair, yellowing, dullness...
    Full-fledged crisis

Grey always makes me feel tired and old, putting colour on the hair gives me a lift in energy. I know that makes me sound like a very shallow person, but it's the honest truth!

I'm curious why do you need permission? Is it for religion or work?

I've been having thoughts of staying black with 2 step henndigo again myself and just bleaching the front blond when it grows back

    But I'll think on it

Growing out grey can be a shock to the system. Give it at least a year. Once the hennaed hair is no longer so visible alongside the grey from the front when your hair is bunned, you will be able to see the special beauty that grey and silver has. People actually pay for these colours and artificially grey hair is no match in beauty for the real, unadulterated grey and silver. Just be patient, and you will see. It took me a long time to get used to it, but now I could NEVER colour my hair ever again! Sometimes we just need a bit of encouragement, you know?
